♻️ We’ve got a Container-Refund Machine (thanks to CDS Vic)!

We’re excited to announce that Grosvenor’s Bottle Shop now features a Container-Refund Machine — part of Victoria’s recycling scheme managed by CDS Vic.

How it works

  • Bring in your empty drink containers – cans, bottles or cartons between 150 mL and 3 L that display the “10 c refund” mark. Pop them into the machine – lids on, containers empty and intact. The machine scans, counts and sorts them automatically.

  • Get rewarded — receive a 10 cent refund per container, either as cash, voucher, or electronic payment via the official CDS Vic system.

Why we did it

  • Cleaner streets & less waste — every returned container is redirected from landfill and helps reduce litter across Victoria.

  • Convenient & local — you don’t need to travel far: simply drop your empties when you next visit, and leave with some extra change in hand.

  • Support the circular economy — your bottles and cans get recycled into new products, helping build a more sustainable future.

Tips for returns

  • Make sure containers are empty, uncrushed and labelled with the 10 c mark.

  • Leave the lids on — lids get recycled too!
